Bob Moore Construction Chosen to Complete Retail Center Finish-out at Rooms To Go Distribution Center in Houston, Texas

Arlington General Contractor to Build 81,728 SF Showroom Finish-out As Part of One Million Square Foot Distribution Center Construction Project

ARLINGTON, TEXAS - May 18, 2009 - Bob Moore Construction has been selected to build the retail center finish-out in the 1,000,000 SF Rooms To Go Distribution Center in Houston, Texas.

In January, Bob Moore Construction was named general contractor for the distribution center's building shell following a competitive bidding process. The company's selection to complete the retail center finish-out was the result of a separate competitive bid.

The distribution center construction project is located between the cities of Katy and Brookshire, just west of Houston. The main building will be 988,000 square feet; the project includes a separate 12,000 SF trailer maintenance building. The showroom will span 81,728 SF of the main building.

Rooms To Go will act as their own developer for this project; MacGregor Associates Architects, Inc. from Atlanta, Georgia is the architect.

The new distribution center comes on the heels of more than 1.5 million square feet of successful distribution center, flex-tech center and retail facilities built by Bob Moore Construction in south / central Texas in the past several years. This project is the second distribution center Bob Moore Construction has been chosen to build for Rooms To Go; the first was an 851,000 SF building in Arlington, Texas in 2004.
