2021 was a momentous year for Bob Moore Construction. Not only did we celebrate our 75th anniversary, a huge milestone achievement in and of itself, the company opened its new corporate headquarters in Grapevine, Texas. After the initial impact of COVID-19 in 2020, Bob Moore Construction saw a major rebound in 2021 that led to large increases in the number of projects built, total square-footage of projects built, staff size, and revenue. Bob Moore Construction was also honored with a Tilt-Up Achievement Award for the second year in a row from the Tilt-Up Concrete Association, as well as a Distinguished Building Award from TEXO, the DFW AGC/ABC chapter affiliate, for the third consecutive year.
BUILDING NEW RELATIONSHIPS
Perimeter Park
As An Atlanta-based Commercial Real Estate Developer ramped up activity in Dallas, they began discussions with Bob Moore Construction on where best to utilize each organizations’ mutual expertise. The resulting project was Perimeter Park, a 300,000 square-foot two-building speculative industrial complex in Dallas. Design commenced in the Fall of 2021 and construction is expected to begin in early 2022.
I-20 Logistics Park
A Denver-based Developer partnered with a Houston-based Developer for a joint venture for the acquisition and development of a 165-acre industrial park in South Dallas called I-20 Logistics Park. The Denver-based Developer had just made a couple of entries in the Dallas market in 2020 before partnering on I-20 Logistics.
After land acquisition was complete and the time came to bid the job to gc’s, an existing relationship with Bob Moore Construction, led to Bob Moore Construction’s bid and subsequent awarded contract for the project.
I-20 Logistics Parl is a two-phase speculative industrial project in Dallas, Texas. Phase 1 will consist of a 1-million square-foot class-a industrial building. Contract for I-20 was awarded in mid-2021 while design was finalized, and site work began in late 2021.
Steri-Tek
Steri-Tek is a California-based E-Beam and X-Ray sterilization company. Originally based in Fremont, California, the company specializes in sterilization of medical equipment, healthcare products, pharmaceuticals, and combination drug devices. As demand increased, Steri-Tek decided to expand their capabilities and picked Dallas as a centralized location to serve more clients across the United States.
The leaders of Steri-Tek had no connections in Dallas aside from the assistance they had in picking the land. When Steri-Tek decided that a Design-Build approach would be the best option for their company, they did what millions of people do every day… they went to google. A true testament to the power of digital marketing, regardless of the industry, Steri-Tek reached out to Bob Moore Construction on a website form and a few months later, the job was negotiated, and design was in full force. Most of the construction on the project was completed in 2021 with only interior finishes to be completed in Q1-2022.
Colling Shady Trail
In 2019, a tornado tore through Northwest Dallas, and many buildings were severely damaged. One owner, finding the buildings to damaged to repair, decided to rebuild. After being referred to Bob Moore Construction through an industry partner, BMC was subsequently awarded the company the two-building 100,000 square-foot project known as Colling Shady Trail.
CONTINUING PARTNERSHIPS
The Grand at Cibolo
In 2019, Bob Moore Construction completed work at The Grand on Beach, a multifamily apartment complex in Haltom City, Texas. That same year, Bob Moore Construction was awarded the owner’s next multifamily project in San Marcos; The Grand at StoneCreek. Over the next two years, construction steadily progressed until completion in late-2021. After completion at StoneCreek, the owner again chose to Bob Moore Construction for their next multifamily project, The Grand at Cibolo.
This owner has cited Bob Moore Construction’s project management and supervision as key points for continuing to bring the general contractor back for multifamily projects across Texas.
Sunnyvale Business Center
Long-time Bob Moore Construction development partners have continued to invest and develop properties across DFW. After completion on Bardin Road, the owners immediately started work at Sunnyvale Business Center, a 644,000 square-foot two-building speculative industrial facility east of Dallas. As leasing demand grew at Sunnyvale, the pair purchased more land nearby to create Sunnyvale West Business Center, adding another 200,000 square-feet of industrial space available for tenants.
Bob Moore Construction has previously worked with the same owners on projects such as Jupiter Miller Business Center, Pioneer 360 Business Center, Bardin Road, and many other projects. Both CRE developers have found a rhythm with Bob Moore Construction, along with design partner Alliance Architects, that has led to the development of millions of square-feet across Dallas/Fort Worth.
Mercantile Partners
For more than 30 years, Bob Moore Construction has been the contractor of choice for Mercantile Partners in Fort Worth, Texas. This relationship has led to more than 39 projects totaling over 5,000,000 square-feet built in office, industrial, and flex sectors. 2021 saw the start of MDC 50, a 605,000 square-feet combined Class-A office and warehouse space for an unnamed tenant. 2021 also saw preliminary design work begin for three more projects totaling nearly 1,000,000 square-feet. These projects are slated to begin construction in mid-2022.

Distinguished Building Award, Plywood Company of Fort Worth
For the third consecutive year, Bob Moore Construction was awarded a Distinguished Building Award from TEXO, the Dallas/Fort Worth AGC & ABC affiliate, for construction excellence and safety at the Plywood Company of Fort Worth, Building 3. This 127,000 square-foot office, sales floor, and logistics center was the third major project built for The Plywood Company over the past 25 years. Despite difficulties with a tight project site that shared space with an active business and was lined with a railroad track on an entire side, the Plywood Company of Fort Worth, Building 3 was completed on schedule and delivered a much-needed additional facility for the company.
International Tilt-Up Achievement Award, The Trade Group
For the second consecutive year, Bob Moore Construction has been awarded a Tilt-Up Achievement Award for The Trade Group, a 319,000 square-foot project in Grapevine, Texas. This facility serves as the new corporate headquarters, showroom, and logistics center for The Trade Group, one of the nation’s leading event marketing and creative design firms.
