Bob Moore Construction is pleased to announce that it has been selected as the general contractor for the retail portion of the highly anticipated 50-acre mixed-use development in Haltom City, anchored by H-Mart Supermarket. The retail component, to be called H-Mart Plaza, will span approximately 16 acres.
This project award is in addition to the industrial portion of the development Bob Moore Construction was awarded last year, Mercantile 820 Logistics Park, that is already under construction. The company is thrilled to now have the opportunity to deliver both the retail and industrial aspects of this transformative project for the City of Haltom City and the development partners – Mercantile Partners LP, KBC Advisors, Velocis, and Haltom City Forest Properties, LLC.
“We are honored that the project owners have entrusted Bob Moore Construction to build H-Mart Plaza in addition to Mercantile 820 Logistics Park,” said Kyle Whitesell, President of Bob Moore Construction. “Our team looks forward to bringing this premier retail destination to life and contributing to the economic growth of Haltom City.”
H-Mart Plaza will feature the region’s seventh H Mart grocery store, the largest Asian supermarket chain in America, plus 50-60 other retail outlets including restaurants and shops. The development is projected to provide an estimated $100 million in capital improvements and generate $80-90 million in annual sales, serving as a catalyst for the local economy.
Construction on the retail phase is slated to begin in the coming weeks. Bob Moore Construction will leverage its extensive retail experience to deliver a high-quality center on schedule.
“The entire development will create a significant number of jobs and tax revenue for our community,” said Haltom City Mayor Dr. An Truong in a previous statement. “We are grateful for those development partners (Mercantile Partners LP, KBC Advisors, Velocis, and Haltom City Forest Properties, LLC) that are making it possible for this giant project to become a reality.“
