Rent the Runway Debuts in Arlington

Date: July 30, 2019
Location: Arlington, Texas

Rent the Runway’s new Arlington fulfillment center debuted last month. The Bob Moore Construction team constructed the shell building and then returned for the tenant improvements to make way for Rent the Runway. This new facility was featured in the Dallas Morning News on June 5, 2019:

“The center will employ more than 500 people by the end of the year and will process all categories that the company rents — from designer dresses to maternity apparel and kids clothing.

A pioneer in the share economy, Rent the Runway said its 300,000-square-foot fulfillment center will allow it to cut shipping times and continue to expand its merchandise mix and designer brands.”

The project allowed Bob Moore to showcase our interior finish out prowess. With 16,000 SF of office space to finish out, attention to detail was critical. A great team made this attention to detail possible; Bob Moore, Alliance Architects, and Rent the Runway were able to work as partners to produce a high quality finished project.

The building also had two tenants who needed to remain operational, which was complicated by Rent the Runway’s need to upsize and add electrical services. Bob Moore worked with the tenants, the utility company to time the switches during weekends and off times and even provided temporary generators to keep the tenants working.

For any commercial construction projects, from shell construction to tenant improvement projects, developers and end users can count on Bob Moore to superior buildings – we’ve been doing so since 1946.
