Bob Moore Construction is a Texas-based general contractor with nearly eight decades of building work we’re proud of—and we’re looking for construction majors who want more than a “shadowing” internship. What You’ll Do (Real Work, Real Jobsite Experience)
As a Construction Intern, you’ll rotate through field operations, project management, and preconstruction so you understand the full lifecycle of a project. You’ll work directly with superintendents, project managers, and estimators—and you’ll be trusted to contribute, not just observe.
You’ll get experience with things like:
- Assisting with RFIs, submittals, drawings, and document control
- Sitting in on and helping prep for owner/architect/contractor meetings
- Supporting field teams with daily reports, safety observations, quality checks, and coordination
- Getting hands-on exposure to schedules, budgets, scopes, and buyout
- Working with preconstruction on bid reviews, takeoffs, and pricing support
- Learning how teams use software tools like Procore (and other estimating/scheduling platforms)
What You’ll Learn
By the end of the internship, you should be able to confidently answer:
- “What does a PM actually do all day—and why does it matter?”
- “How does the jobsite stay productive, safe, and on schedule?”
- “How do we go from drawings → budget → schedule → built project?”
