Grapevine, Texas – Bob Moore Construction announced today that Larry Knox, Executive Vice President, has retired effective January 1, 2022.
“After 27 years of dedicated service to our company, Larry has decided to retire. While we accept this with mixed emotions, we are happy that he will be able to spend more time with his family, especially the grandchildren” said CEO Phillip Bell. “Larry has been in the construction industry for five decades, working in Kansas, Oklahoma and finally Texas; coming to Bob Moore Construction in 1995. During his time with us he has held the positions of Senior Project Manager, Vice President of Estimating, and Executive Vice President. In every position, Larry has been on the leading edge of technology and has helped advance the company with his promotion of new systems.”
In addition to serving more than six years in the US Army Reserves, Mr. Knox has served in various positions supporting and furthering the construction industry:
- City Commissioner Colleyville, P&Z- 2007-2015
- Advisor to Oklahoma State Construction Management Technology (CMT) – 2000-2008
- Helped establish an endowed chair in the CMT program
- Served on TEXO (DFW AGC/ABC) Board of directors- 2009-2012
Larry joined Bob Moore Construction in 1995 as a Senior Project Manager where he lead construction operations on more than 20 projects for some of the company’s most prolific clients. In 2002 Larry was promoted to Senior Vice President, overseeing all pre-construction operations for the company. Larry was promoted to Executive Vice President, his most recent position, in 2013.
In Larry’s 27-year tenure with Bob Moore Construction, he has provided leadership and oversight on the construction of more than 30,000,000 square feet combined as a Project Manager and Project Executive.
CEO Phillip Bell stated that Larry has agreed to stay on for an indefinite period as a consultant and ambassador for Bob Moore Construction, advocating for the company among individuals in the Commercial Real Estate industry.
Bob Moore Construction thanks Larry for his 27 years of service to the company, and looks forward to continuing their relationship for years to come.
