Corporate office and distribution center at Mercantile Center in Fort Worth for TTI, Inc., a member of the Berkshire Hathaway family of companies. Bob Moore Construction was chosen to build the TTI facility based on their 30+ successful projects at Mercantile Center and their award-winning projects for Mouser Electronics, a subsidiary of TTI.
The TTI facility is a 613,240 SF corporate headquarters and distribution center located in north Fort Worth.
Constructed with tilt-up construction, the building is finished in dark and light gray with accent shades and patterns around the facility. The south side of the building, the front, features aluminum composite panel facing and soffit with finished columns, surrounding an extensive curtainwall glass system at the front entrance.
Inside, the lobby features ceramic floor tile with a decorative radiused wall over the reception space, leading to two stories of office space along the south side. The office area includes open office bays, single offices, executive suites, conference rooms, employee break spaces, an exercise room with attached lockers, and a large break/meeting room.
The warehouse space is among the most complex distribution setups in north Texas. A three-story carousel platform stores the most controlled products, and 30-foot high racking fills much of the rest of the space. More than 1.6 miles of fully automated conveyor systems transport products from shelving to picking and packaging stations to the shipping area. Shipping takes place from 38 docks fitted with shelters and canopies along the north side of the facility.
The property includes 935 linear feet of stack block engineered retaining wall, as high as 13 feet, with security fencing around the entire perimeter. Surrounding the building are fire and truck lanes, a truck court and 500 parking spaces for employees. A welcome center at the front gate secures access to the facility.
In 2020, TTI asked Bob Moore Construction to return for a 167,000 expansion bringing the facility to over 780,000 square-feet.
