Assistant Superintendent – DFW

We’re hiring an Assistant Superintendent to support our Senior Superintendents in running safe, well-organized, high-quality construction sites. You’ll be hands-on with subcontractor coordination, quality control, safety orientations, and daily reporting in Procore. What You’ll Do

  • Preconstruction & planning: Review plans/specs/soils/addenda; walk the site/ROW to identify and protect existing utilities; build the site logistics plan (trailers, staging, access).
  • Site setup & safety leadership: Run first-day safety orientation; manage controlled access/parking; collect subcontractor safety manuals; maintain daily sign-in/attendance tracking.
  • Daily field operations: Perform daily site walks; hold regular subcontractor coordination meetings; ensure proper sequencing and schedule adherence; confirm approved materials are on-site per submittals.
  • Quality & documentation: Track submittals and deadlines; coordinate steel, deck, panel erection, roofing, and MEP starts; coordinate lab inspections/documentation; deliver daily reports with photos; review plans and drive RFIs as needed.
  • Safety & compliance: Lead weekly SWPPP inspections and documentation; provide weekly safety observation reports; conduct weekly site safety stand-down meetings with subcontractors.
  • Scheduling & coordination: Issue a 3-week look-ahead; coordinate deliveries/erection dates; set meetings with utilities/third-party inspectors; schedule surveys for building corners/offsets; oversee panel pour coverage.

What You’ll Bring

  • 1–3+ years of experience in construction or a related role
  • Degree in Construction Science/Management/Engineering is preferred, though not required
  • Basic understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and safety standards
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities on an active job site
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to work alongside subcontractors and project teams

About the Role

We’re looking for an Estimator to join our pre-construction team and help drive accurate, competitive bids that win work. In this role, you’ll manage estimating documentation, lead subcontractor outreach and bid coverage, and produce the deliverables that move our projects from RFP to contract. If you’re detail-oriented, organized, and have real experience estimating ground-up construction, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

  • Organize and maintain pre-construction documentation, including estimates, bids, contracts, and project plans
  • Prepare and input cost estimates into estimating software

  • Reach out to subcontractors, track bids, and document good-faith outreach efforts

  • Lead site prep activities, including soils review, building pad preparation, foundation review, and panel pour coverage
  • Maintain clear communication with project managers, owners, and design teams throughout the project.

  • 8-10+ years of experience in ground-up construction supervision
  • Degree in Construction Science/Management/Engineering is preferred, not required
