Bob Moore Construction was the general contractor for the 103,000 SF manufacturing facility and warehouse located in Weatherford, Texas. The building was constructed for for Power Service, a leading manufacturer of diesel fuel additives.
The shell of the facility is constructed with insulated tiltwall panels to support the controlled temperatures necessary for the chemicals used to produce the additives. A Varco-Pruden system was used for the roof and structural columns of the building.
The interior is separated into two areas by a large CMU block wall. On one side of the space are the receiving department and the warehouse for storage of empty product containers; on the other side are the manufacturing processes for the fuel additives and the shipping department. The building includes various safety and environmental control features including 14 wall-mounted exhaust fans for the removal of chemical fumes, advanced ESFR fire control and fire suppression equipment designed to handle the additives and a split system cooling – HVAC system. Construction of the warehouse included extensive MEP design to support Power Service’s proprietary manufacturing processes and equipment.
Construction included a 24′ wide fire lane around the facility and 1,150 feet of sandstone gravity retaining wall along the east side.
